The original recipe was created by The Finnish blogger Jenni Häyrinen who placed a block of feta cheese and grape tomatoes in a baking dish baked it and then served it with some al dente pasta.
Once people tried this simple recipe and started sharing it on Tiktok, it became a full-on Tiktok sensation and the Tiktok feta pasta was born.

Single-serve feta pasta Ingredients:

  • Cherry tomatoes: Use fresh cherry or grape tomatoes.
  • Feta cheese: I like to use Danish feta but Greek feta is said to be a bit creamier as it’s higher in fat.
  • Olive oil: Any olive oil is fine but extra-virgin olive oil is recommended.
  • Garlic: Use either fresh garlic (minced) or minced jar garlic.
  • Seasoning: Use whichever dried or fresh herbs you like. Some of the favorites are black pepper, salt, red pepper flakes, and Italian seasoning. If you have some fresh basil at hand, add some once the feta is finished baking for extra flavor.
  • Pasta: You can use any pasta shape and type of pasta you like. Just cook it according to the package instructions.
     

Tip: reserve 1/4 cup of pasta cooking water and add the reserved pasta water to the crushed tomato mix for a creamier sauce.

Here’s how to make Tiktok feta pasta in an air fryer.

Step 1: Dump cherry tomatoes, feta cheese, olive oil, garlic, and any seasonings into an oven-proof baking dish that will fit into your air fryer basket.

Step 2: Place it into your air fryer and air fry for 10 minutes at 350 F (175 C). The tomatoes may burst as they get heated in the air fryer.

Step 3: Cook the pasta according to the package directions. Once it’s finished cooking, reserve 1/4 cup of the pasta water.

Step 4: Take a fork and press down on the feta and tomatoes to crush them. You’ll end up with a chunky creamy sauce. Add the reserved pasta water for a more liquid sauce or skip it if you like.

This single serve feta pasta is the perfect quick, easy, and delicious dinner recipe for one. This Tiktok viral feta pasta recipe is cooked in an air fryer and is ready in under 15 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 1 oz feta cheese
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • salt & pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 2 oz dry pasta (cooked to package directions)
