How To Make Money Using Wine Corks?

There are two common ways through which people make money using wine corks.

1. Collect and sell

One of the easiest and most popular ways to make money with wine corks is to simply collect them and sell them online.

You can find people selling wine corks on sites like eBay and Facebook Marketplace for anywhere from $0.10 to $0.20 per cork.

2. Make DIY crafts and sell them

The second, more creative way to make money with wine corks is by turning them into DIY crafts and selling them online or at craft fairs. There are all sorts of creative things you can make with wine corks, from jewelry to coasters to keychains.

You’ll also get more money per cork this way since handmade crafts usually sell for a higher price than just the cork itself.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How do you sanitize wine corks for crafts?

To sanitize wine works, place them in 1 liter of warm water with 1 tbsp of hydrogen peroxide. Leave the corks in this mixture for 15 minutes and then remove and rinse with warm running water.

This will kill all of the germs that may be living in the corks and ensure you’re working with clean wine corks.

How to soften wine corks for crafts?

To soften wine corks, you can either choose to steam them or boil them.

To steam – simply place wine corks into a steamer and leave them there for 15 minutes. Remove and let them cool down.

To boil – place wine corks into boiling water and leave them for 10-15 minutes. Remove from water and let them cool down before handling.

You may notice the corks swell up while boiling them but they will return to their normal size once they have cooled down.

How to cut wine corks?
